Farewell in your ventures
Our spent time is my treasure
Your heart must wander to where it belongs
Friend, I only urge you to be strong
With love you can simply do no wrong
I say it with these words tipping off my tongue
Farewell, farewell my friend
In sunshine or in rain
One day, I know
We’ll see u here back again
Reflections in the water
Fade and disappear
Illusions that my eyes can see
But cannot touch nor hear.
And now I come to ask myself
Are you really real?
If I reach out to take your hand
Will it be your hand I feel?
You might be an illusion
My eyes might be deceiving me
You could be someone that I made up
A wish, a dream, a fantasy.
Questions like these just make doubt stronger
Creating a kind of inner hunger
In quiet solitude I ponder
Leaving my mind to search and wander.
If life is so much like a dream
And things aren't always what they seem
Then let me walk this road with you
Until our wakening is due.
Strange how one can live an entire lifetime in illusion.
Illusion of belief.
Illusion of self.
Illusion of the world around.
Illusion of relationships.
Illusion of the entire existence.
And yet when the mist of illusion gives way to the dazzling light of reality we are too dazed to believe that sunshine has shone upon us. The hangover then leads to shocking revelation unacceptable by the disillusioned psyche.
Illusions commend themselves to us because they save us pain and allow us to enjoy pleasure instead. We must therefore accept it without complaint when they sometimes collide with a bit of reality against which they are dashed to pieces.
I have realised one thing that the past and future are real illusions and its the present which is reality and will help you fade away these illusions and enhance the picture for your coming future.
